Preparation For Adulthood
Preparation for Adulthood at Fountains High School is embedded throughout our provision and is central to everything we do. Our curriculum and support are designed to help young people develop the skills, confidence and independence they need to move successfully into adult life.
Across the areas of employment, independent living, community inclusion and health, pupils are supported through personalised pathways, meaningful accreditation, real‑world experiences and strong partnership working with families, employers and external agencies. Where appropriate, students access work experience, supported internships, travel training, enterprise projects and community placements, alongside targeted support for communication, emotional well-being and self‑advocacy.
Our aim is for every young person to leave Fountains with a clear sense of themselves, practical life skills and a positive next step, whether that is further education, training, employment or supported provision, ensuring they are as prepared as possible for life beyond school.
