School Clubs
Trampoline Club
Tuesdays: 3:20-4:10
Every Tuesday after school, students are given the opportunity to enjoy exercise therapy using a full-sized trampoline to facilitate movement, promote balance, promote an increase in muscle tone, promote relaxation, promote sensory integration, improve fitness and exercise tolerance, and to improve communication skills. Students follow the Winstrada developmental programme which provides a resource to aid safe trampolining progressions as well as fun and exciting sessions.
Table Tennis Club
Wednesdays: 3:20-4:10
At after-school club table tennis club we endeavour to have fun and improve hand/eye co-ordination. We demonstrate skills such as balancing the ball on the bat, bouncing the ball on the bat and knocking the ball back and forth over the net. We play round the table where the pupils hit the ball and run round the table. We also learn to put on and take off the nets and those who are able to, help to put up and take down the tables. The aim is to learn whilst having fun.
Dance Club
Thursdays: 3:20-4:20
Fountains Dance Club is run by the Brewhouse Arts Centre. Catherine, one of the Dance Tutors from the Brewhouse, comes to Fountains every Thursday to deliver the session. At dance club you have the chance to learn new steps, have fun with friends and meet and get to know other students from other year groups. We start with a warm up, play fun movement games, learn routines to a mix of music, develop our creativity by exploring movement tasks, and there's also time to showcase your own dances if you wish. We finish the session with a cool down, working on stretching out the body, relaxing the mind and taking time to chill out.
Football Club - Seasonal
Thursdays: 3:20-4:20
In our after school club, our students take part in team challenges, football drills, and a wide range of fun activities designed to support fitness, stamina and agility. Our students have the opportunity to increase their confidence and self esteem in a friendly, supportive and safe environment helping to develop their skills as they prepare for young adulthood in the future.
