Our Year 14 Vocational Study Programme at the Hobby Craft Distribution Centre represents a transformative learning experience designed to equip learners with essential employability skills, preparing them for the transition into the professional world. The programme is structured around a comprehensive schedule, with learners actively engaging in the placement three days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) alongside undertaking the ASDAN Employability accreditation.

The programme is carefully planned to allow students to experience various aspects of the distribution centre operations, providing a holistic understanding of the industry with an emphasis on key employability skills. Through a combination of on-the-job training and structured coursework, students develop a range of skills vital for success in the professional sphere. These include effective communication, teamwork, time management, problem-solving, and adaptability, among others. By honing these skills, learners are better equipped to navigate the complexities of the workforce with confidence and competence.

The success of our programme is evident in the positive outcomes achieved by our learners. Pervious learners have secured part-time employment opportunities upon completing the programme, a testament to the practical and applicable nature of the skills acquired during their time at the distribution centre. These results highlight the effectiveness of our vocational study approach in bridging the gap between education and employment.
